Day #3

Finally some action. Today was the first day in the procession of the wedding. The Sangeet is the event where several people showcase their stupidity and get familiar with the different families. I finally got to dress fancy with the outfit I got in Delhi (that's New Delhi to foreigners). The PM of India, Narendra Modi seems to have inspired lots of people with his fashion sense. I wore a dirty-grey(yes, that's a colour) waistcoat, a blue shirt and white formal trousers.

Turns out everyone and the children had the exact same idea. I enter the hall to see all the men and a child wearing waistcoats and the formals. Speaking of clothes, 2016 has pronounced so many events into the world. Judging homosexuality on the basis of colours of certain garments is a common trend today amongst people. Just today afternoon, I wore a faded pink formal with trousers. When I was introduced to some old women by my mother, their first reaction was to how I was brave enough to dawn a pink garment, which is ridiculed for its sexual basis. When they started muttering about problems in the West with homosexuality, I knew it was my cue to leave.

I would like to say that I miss Dubai but I don't. I feel right at home. Even the weather is in tune, with scorching heat in the afternoons to a numbed-digits kind of cold at night. My predictions sort of turned out right. The Sangeet was completely patronised by a Punjabi vibe, ending the evening with beats from DJ.

I hate that I am an introvert. It limits my opportunities by a mile. I don't mind dancing with people around me. Scratch that, I dont mind dancing with people whom I don't know. Then I don't care if I make a fool of myself be wise I know I will never see them again. But with relatives it's different. Lots of stress builds up on you when forced to dance. My relatives probably think I am shy since they don't know that I possess inwardness.

This blog has been short today because there was a lot of work and action going about Lonavala. I will have a lot to blog about tomorrow after the wedding function.

Goodnight.
