Blog #104 (Scramble)

No one plans for something quite like me. This is not a modest take.

Be me. It is 1 o'clock in the morning.
There is a deadline for a presentation that me and my team have to prepare for and present. I decide to stay up late since we did not prepare a draft for our presentation. I work for hours on end, (while subsequently watching Bill Burr to keep me awake) and come up with a rough draft.

It is now 8 o'clock in the morning.
I begrudgingly walk to university, dreaming about espressos. I see a teammate of mine waiting. This mate, drove all the way just to help present our video. (Props to her)
We sit and chit-chat over breakfast and time begins to slip by. I don't realize that we missed our daily briefing, and hurry to start the meeting.

I go over every role, and use the sense of urgency to my advantage to encourage my mates to put in their work. Still, we have yet to begin filming our video. It was soon lunch time.

I had an enjoyable lunch. Although the food was basic, it was the companion that elevated the experience.

We return. I wanted an element of physicality to the performance, so I decided to get a lecture room to shoot our video in. We were successful in the acquisition.

We moved to our new studio shortly after. I got most of my teammates to show up as well. Then it was time to begin recording. I was still not done. My years of experience in public speaking had taught me a lot of tricks of the trade. I forgot most of them, but the one trick I remember to use every time, is to create interest.

A flashy opening.
An eye-catching introduction.
Bait.

If you saw the video, you would understand. It worked like a charm.

We filmed the rest of the video. In an attempt to seem as authentic as possible, I memorized the entirety of my part. (it kind of backfired on account of looking phoned in)

Fortunately, time constraints did not affect our submission.

I enjoyed hanging out with them, especially with the companion.
